According to the UN data, the largest number of refugees with the status of temporary protection are currently in Poland – almost 1.5 million people. In general, since the beginning of the war, 6.5 million people left Ukraine, and about 4.5 million returned. Ukrainian authorities recently appealed to the Ukrainians abroad to not return from abroad with the view to decrease the burden on the Ukrainian infrastructure, also in light of increased Russian attacks. This panel reconsiders the prospects of refugees’ return to their home country, lessons learned from other conflict scenarios, and political attitudes in this regard.
