07.12.2022, 17:00 - 18:00 Conference Room A - Level 0 Health and family welfare

The war in Ukraine has profoundly affected the family structures: disconnecting spouses and life partners and burdening both men and women with new roles and responsibilities. Lessons from other regions have shown that conflict situations have prolonged consequences to mental health (especially of children) and often lead to higher rates of domestic physical violence. To foster the well-being of Ukrainian families now and after the war, it is important to think ahead about social policies and environments, migration infrastructures, and mechanisms to support spouses in their reencounters required now and in the hopefully near-future after the war.
